Beyond the Frame

I'm Surendra Basel — a popular choreographer, music video director, and the Chairman/Founder of Basel Creation Pvt. Ltd. Based in Sitapaila, Kathmandu, I have been active in the Nepali music and film industry since starting my dancing career in 2004.

Over my career, I have choreographing near a thousand music videos and film songs spanning over 15 years. Some of my notable film works as choreographer include "Love You Baba", "Resham Filili", "Lakshya", "Hairaan", "Ke Ma Timro Hoinara", "Gaaja Baaja", "Prema", and more.

On television, I have choreographed for massive hit comedy serials like "Bhadragol", "Sakkigoni", and "Tito Satya", and recently served as a guest judge on the national "Dance Championship" reality show in 2024. My career hit music videos include "Ho Ho Ni Maya Ho" and "Hey Sanu Maya".

I believe in creativity, dedication, and bringing cinematic storytelling to life through movement. Basel Creation is dedicated to training and elevating the standard of dance and choreography in Nepal.
